The Two Set Dungeon

Lia Pov:

Its been four hours since Marmar first woke up, two of which they went back to sleep for.

Im waiting outside the dungeon while Mara wraps up plans with the builders. When they get here, because Marmar seems to be hyperfocusing, Im going to go over the rules again.

Mara runs up to me, giving me a quick hug before they bounce from foot to foot in place. To get Maras attention I put my hand on their shoulder without stopping their bouncing. ”Marmar, Look at me, ” they slightly shifted their head showing that I have their attention ”Remember the three rules. One, I mostly did requests as an adventurer so if anything looks too unsafe, we leave. Two, if something is shiny, don chase after it. Marmar, what is rule number three? ”

Mara shifted their line of sight and started to bounce faster.

”Mara. ”

”No matter how pretty or well constructed something is, no close looks allowed before the assessment of danger, hump. ” They say, turning their head and pouting.

I cracked a small smile, Mara hates that rule but the one time I let it slide they almost lost their head sooo, not letting that one slide.

I raise my hand to her head and pat it saying ”Love you Marmar. ”

Mara rushes in and gives me a hug, still trying to pout. Mara mumbles ”Love you too LiLi. ”

3rd Pov:

The two people break apart after a while, grabbing each others hands and begging their delve through the dungeon. They step down the stairs from the entrance landing in a forest of sorts, amongst the trees they can see some shadowy human figures. They slowly continue on the path of sorts that lead to a bridge across the river.

About halfway to the bridge 2 wood mannequins appear out of the woods. They got to the center of the path when their heads turned 90 degrees now facing the two people. The bodies follow behind the head as Mara took a step behind Lia who was now ready for battle the two automations began walking to Lia their rough design causing slow and non-flexible movement. Lia quickly made her move imbuing her sword with a touch of magic aiming for the joints of the Automations. She cut down the Automations, the bodies fading away while she put her sword away in a quick and experienced movement.

They had a quick discussion on whether or not to continue on, eventually agreeing on continuing. Crossing the bridge and walking path to the next room, Lia quickly dispatched 5 more automatons eventually ending up in a jungle like room.

Lia held onto her spouse looking ahead, seeing the slight glint of flat walls behind the foliage along with the 90 degree turn with near indistinguishable plants on either path they could travel, Lia made a decision. ”Marmar, this is where we
e going to turn back. It seems like a maze room. We don have anything to track our path or map the maze, lets wait for the professionals to get here before we head forward. Once we get out, lets get some airship ice cream ” Mara cracks a smile Airship Icecream is their favorite, they grabbed onto Lias hand with a gentle smile on their face thinking ”LiLi always knows how to cheer me up. ”
