Lia Pov:

I turn around and open my arms to welcome the inevitable bear hug from my lovely Marmar. They squeezed into my arms and started chittering, like they always do when they haven talked in a while.

”LiLi have you been sleeping, eating? You look fine, thats good. Wheres the dungeon? Oh its over there, oooo even more unusual than you told me. Can we go inside later? You were an adventurer, since this dungeon hasn been recorded it should be easy to just take a look around, right? ”

I let out a low laugh and gave them a good squeeze ”Yes, Ive been well. Our tent is about 100ft from the dungeon. ” I released mara and gave them a short kiss on the forehead ”Lets go tomorrow, after the builders get started. ”

Marmar gave a short nod, gave me a quick hug then moved off to the builders to discuss plans for the town.

-The Next Day-

Mara Pov:

I woke up in Lias arms, warm and safe. It was probably very early since LiLi wasn up, so I attempted to go back to sleep. Key word attempted. I was itching to move my legs, and my mind was soaring at 20 miles a minute thinking about the architecture of the dungeon.

So I very carefully wiggled out of Lias arms, making sure not to wake her up. I just managed to break her waking up at 5:30 AM habit so she still needs to make up a lot of sleep. I slinked out of the tent and took in the beautiful dawn sky. The silver shimmer as the sun hits the small collections of silver ore in the sky. The orange light that seemed to come in waves across the grassland, causing the river to seem to glow in the light.

I stretch and head towards the dungeon entrance. As I get closer the rest of the world seems to fade out as I focused on the archway. Along the pillars lay intricately carved silver plants, vines and flowers hanging delicately from the edges of the entrance way. Under the ceiling lay a beam of pure light, inset carvings of sunflowers just barely visible through the shine. Beneath my feet lay a sheet of glass, through which I could see the rushing river and genly swimming fish. The glass seems unusual though, I caught a glimpse of what seemed to be a… carving. Through my concentration I notice the overhead light dim, and the curtain of water lying in the east seeming to dry up. The dawn sun flowed down onto the glass, revealing a delicately carved scene of flowing underwater plants now illuminated.

A gentle squeeze of my hand brings me out of my focus. I look up to see Lia showing a small smile. As my state fades out my exhaustion from getting up early finally hits me.

Lia grabbed Mara as they once again fell asleep. Lia looked once more at the entrance as she walked away. Lia then looked down at the once again deeply asleep Mara, showed an indulgent smile and shook her head.
