ething scary.

From her statement alone, this notebook wouldn’t seem to bode well for Ariad.

So-hee took the notebook and flipped over the tattered covers.

The tension which heightened as she read every page cooled down.

The story was pretty familiar.

When they noticed Ariad losing interest, the two sisters shouted urgently.

“Ariad.
If you go a little further, you’ll see something amazing!”

After skimming through it, So-hee closed the notebook.

She was aware that Kelly owned this.

Now, she understood why they were making such a fuss.

Most of the diary’s content was about Joshua and her feelings for him.

She wrote about the garments Joshua had donned on a particular day, the expression he wore, and Kelly’s desperate determination to be more courageous.

Sohee got a glimpse of Kelly’s feelings growing as the neat letters filled the pages.

Ariad might think this was a disaster but So-hee, who had written the diary herself from her own words, felt  her heart go numb.

“I saw all of it.” She said casually as she handed the diary back to them.

The two sisters’ golden eyes were filled with confusion.

“What?”

“I saw it.
She can write very well, don’t you think?”

Of course, she could write very well!

Ho ho ho ho ho~

So-hee smiled proudly at how delicate her handwriting looked in Kelly’s notebook.

Both women had strange looks on their faces.

Rosaline bit her lower lip and spoke.
“Well, you read it properly, right? Don’t you think Kelly is a fox? How dare she challenge you of the crown prince’s affection when she doesn’t even deserve it! Are you sure you’re alright?”

Did they think that Kelly’s enemy was her comrade?

They might have noticed Kelly’s rising status after receiving the Empress’ approval.

That was why they were desperate to have more allies.

“Well, I’m fine.
I can’t help but like her as well.”

Kelly was no threat to her because Joshua was definitely into Ariad.

Rosaline and Erica spoke to her with a light and detached tone as they gossiped about other people’s affairs.

Still, disappointment was a black cloud above her head as she left the room while limping.

So-hee fell on the bed when the door closed and hugged her soft blankets tightly.

“I’m sleepy.
What’s wrong with me these days?”

Before she knew it, her eyelids grew heavy until they closed.

She lifted her thick blanket over her head and thought about going back to sleep.

*KNOCK*

*KNOCK*

It sounded like it came from the window.

Her hand holding the blanket floated in mid-air as her third guest showed himself at the window.

After confirming the unexpected visitor’s identity, So-hee’s nostrils flared.
