Traditional Chandeliers

Crystal chandeliers deliver beauty with function. Modern chandeliers often combine various textures, shades and colors not normally associated with chandeliers. They should be chosen carefully to complement the furniture and lighting needs of a room. If these beautiful pieces are going to be used to cast a mood, then up lighting is often desired. By the use of an opaque or solid shade on the bottom, the light is directed toward the ceiling to create a soft ambience. If more surface light is required below the light, then a chandelier with shades on the side or no shades should be chosen.

Crystal chandeliers are often used with dimmer switches as well. By doing so the homeowner is able to create different moods with a single chandelier. Kitchen and dining rooms are perfect rooms to use chandeliers with shades. They will be easier to clean than conventional chandeliers while offering the beauty and elegance associated with fine lighting.
